Bridges Healthcare Names New CEO and President


October 3, 2018 - Milford, CT –Bridges Healthcare, Inc. announced that its Board of Directors has appointed John Dixon, LCSW as Chief Executive Officer and President effective September 24, 2018.

With more than three decades of leadership experience addressing complex social issues, Mr. Dixon has served as Deputy Secretary at the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services, Associate Commissioner at the New York City Administration for Children's Services, Superintendent at the Connecticut Juvenile Training School and Deputy Director at the New York State Office of Mental Health.

Shaun Mee, Chairman of Bridges' Board of Directors noted, "John is a dedicated human services leader with a deep commitment to improving the lives of adults, children and families who have been affected by mental health issues. He has a long history of engaging consumers both in their treatment and recovery, as well as to improve the quality of services provided. Bridges is licensed by the State Dept. of Children and Families and the Dept. of Public Health. Nationally accredited by the Joint Commission, Bridges has been providing services to families, children and adults since 1957.
