Awarded a grant from the State of CT Court Supported Services Division to provide services for probationers with mental health and addiction issues. Implemented an Intensive Outpatient Program and multiple new group support programs.
Continued agency leadership in the CommuniCare partnership which operates the following programs: South Central Crisis Service, Community Supported Beds, Tobacco Cessation, Latino Behavioral Health, and Health Management Strategies for Recovery (HMSR) and the Technology Consortium awarded by Connecticut's office of Policy and Management.
Mental Health First Aid training provided this year for over 100 people from throughout the state, including school nurses and psychologists and other education professionals, first responders, human resource professionals, senior housing workers, public health workers and municipal employees.
Folks on Spokes – Folks on Foot ride and walk for mental health once again attracted 500 participants, dozens of volunteers and media attention to raise awareness and nearly $25,000 for Bridges' programs and services.
E-prescribing software became embedded in our certified Electronic Health Record, allowing for continued move towards meeting Meaningful Use criteria, designed to create interoperability between providers of all consumers.

Our service area covers a total population of over 240,000 in Milford, Orange, West Haven, and for some services, several surrounding communities. Bridges' mission is provide a broad range of community-based behavioral and healthcare services to the residents of our area. We respond effectively to the needs of adults, children and families with a comprehensive range of prevention, mental health and addiction recovery programs. We are committed to creating a Healthcare Home for all the people we serve.
A successful capital campaign, including funding from individuals, foundations, corporations, state and municipal funding enabled us to complete construction and open the Moses M. Malkin Center, the new portal to services at Bridges. With enhanced reception and waiting areas, updated offices and meeting rooms for private appointments and group services, our clients are welcomed into a bright new environment when they visit Bridges.
The growth of intensive in-home programs for children and families,( IICAPS and IFP) necessitated a move of program staff to 500 Bic Drive, Milford to accommodate increased space needs.
Genoa Pharmacy was approved to operate onsite at Bridges to provide specialized pharmacy service to behavioral health clients. This service will help clients better manage their medications.
