Bridges offers programs and support services for youth and young adults who are experiencing challenges in transitioning to the independence and responsibilities of adulthood.
SMART Recovery® Program and Meetings
Bridges' SMART Recovery® program supports teens (ages 16-18) who have or are considering abstaining from any type of addictive behaviors (substances and activities). SMART stands for (Self-Management and Recovery Training) and the program teaches you how to change self-defeating thinking, emotions and actions and helps you work towards long term satisfactions and quality of life.
The program also supports friends and families who are affected by the substance abuse, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, or other addictions of a loved one.
SMART Recovery is a 4-Point program offers specific tools and techniques for each point:
Point 1: Building and Maintaining Motivation Point 2: Coping with Urges Point 3: Managing Thoughts, Feelings and Behaviors Point 4: Living a Balanced Life
Free Group Meetings: SMART Recovery Teen Group Meeting Are drugs, alcohol and other behaviors getting in your way? Feeling hopeless and out of control? Can't concentrate on school? Are friends and family members concerned? We can help! Meets on: Wednesdays 5:15 - 6:30pm
SMART Recovery-Family and Friends Do you feel helpless and confused about your teen's addiction or other struggles? We offer support and tools for people affected by the addictive/self-destructive behavior of someone close to them. Meets on: Mondays 6:45 - 8pm

RM 4 Drop-In Center
Welcomes people ages 18*-25 to our center at 570 Boston Post Rd., Milford. We are a drop-in resource, a space where you can enjoy recreational activities, explore your creative interests through arts activities, take a yoga or martial arts class, use our computer lab for job searches, or simply talk with other people about what's on your mind. We have staff who will listen and talk with you privately, on your terms, about things going on in your life. We can help you connect to other resources that may be helpful to you, as you make the transition to the responsibilities and independence of adulthood. Healthy Transitions is an initiative to engage and connect transition-age (16-25) young adults who have, or at risk for, behavioral health disorders to high-quality care through the use of Wraparound Services.Wraparound plans can address issues related to young adult's home, school, community, basic needs, safety, social, emotional, spritual, educational and cultural needs.
Prevention, Pregnancy and Parenting Outreach (Young Parent Program/YPP)
This program provides confidential prevention, pregnancy and parenting support and education for teens and young adults up to age 22. YPP is a community-based program, that promotes healthy choices and responsible decision-making around sexual activity and reproductive health for teens and young adults, and provides pregancy and parenting education, referrals and support.
