Community Resources

Whether it’s corporate or personal mental health trainings you’re looking for, a caring network of bereavement support you’re seeking, or curated information for community agencies and support contacts you need, Bridges has you covered.

Mental Health First Aid Training

Bridges offers Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid trainings at no cost to businesses, schools, agencies, and individuals. These courses teach you how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a potential mental health challenge, how to listen and give reassurance, and how to refer a person for help.

Bereavement Support - The Caring Network

Have you lost a loved one and need help processing your grief? Consider joining The Caring Network – a FREE virtual bereavement support group for adults in our community. The group meets through Microsoft Teams at 6:00 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month and is hosted by a certified grief counselor from Bridges Healthcare. No registration required.

Client & Caregiver Resources

Clients undergoing treatment at Bridges are receiving a strong foundational set of tools and strategies to live fulfilling lives. Their support system, family, friends, neighbors, also need a network of support while their loved one progresses through treatment. We have compiled a list of resources to do just that.

Families Impacted by Substance Use Support Group

A warm embrace and supportive environment during a group meeting, with one person hugging another while a third person smiles and looks on supportively, reflecting a sense of care and community

Is someone you love struggling with substance use? Join Bridges' Families Impacted by Substance Use Support Group. This support group is a free, confidential space for families impacted by substance use, providing discussion on understanding addiction, the family's role in recovery, peer support, and more. Open to the public, meeting twice a month on Wednesdays in the Milford Public Library. Contact Ken Boyer (kboyer@bridgesmilford.org), the group facilitator, to confirm meeting dates and learn more.
