Annual Dockside’s Lazy .5K “Race” In Support of Mental Health

Looking for an event that’s light on effort but big on fun—and impact?

The Lazy .5K “Race” at Dockside is your perfect excuse to “race” without breaking a sweat. But this isn’t just a playful Sunday afternoon—it’s also a meaningful way to support mental health services in our community, especially for those in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Join us on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 2–4 PM at Dockside (40 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford, CT), for this half-kilometer of pure fun and purpose.

What Exactly Is a Lazy .5K?

Dockside’s Annual Lazy .5K Race is less about cardio and more about community.

Instead of grueling hills or personal bests, you’ll find light-hearted relay races, game stations, pizza, and two beverage drink tickets, laughter, camaraderie, and zero pressure.

While this event is all about having a good time, the cause behind it is critically important. Proceeds from the “race” directly benefit Bridges Healthcare, helping us expand access to mental health and addiction recovery services.

And it couldn’t come at a better time, 90% of hospitality workers report facing mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, and burnout. This event helps bring much-needed support to the people who serve our meals, pour our drinks, and often carry invisible struggles behind the scenes.

That’s why Dockside created this event: to raise awareness and funds for mental health support and addiction recovery services, helping those most vulnerable in our community get the care they need, when they need it most.

We look forward to seeing you there! Buy your ticket now and be part of the laziest, kindest, most meaningful “race” you’ve ever done.
