Bridges Rolls Out Open Access (Walk-In, No Appointment Needed) Intake for Adults in Milford
Finding and starting treatment for mental health or substance use challenges can feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate—but the first step just got easier. Bridges Healthcare has introduced an Open Access model at our Milford location, offering walk-in, no-appointment-needed intake for adults (18+).
The Open Access service is currently available at our Milford location and welcomes adult clients from West Haven, Orange, Milford, and surrounding communities; however, all intake appointments will take place at our Milford office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
This intake-only service allows individuals to complete their initial mental health and/or substance use assessment without waiting for a scheduled appointment. It’s a quicker, simpler way to begin treatment—with support from a compassionate clinical team.
What Is Open Access?
Walk-in services—also known as “Open Access”—mean you don’t have to wait for an appointment to start care. If you’re 18 or older, you can come to our Milford office during designated hours and complete your first treatment assessment that same day.
This first visit focuses on understanding your current needs, mental health or substance use concerns, and goals for treatment. It’s a starting point for building a personalized care plan that works for you, whether that’s therapy, group therapy, or any other program or service that fits your needs.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, or other challenges, this model makes it easier to connect to care, right when you’re ready.
Important Information for Your Open Access Visit
- Medication will not be prescribed or provided during this visit. Developing an appropriate treatment plan, which may include medication, requires additional time and follow-up appointments.
- Eligibility: Open Access is currently available only for adults (18+).
- What to Bring: Please bring a valid photo ID and your insurance card(s).
- Time Commitment: The intake process may take up to two hours.
