Celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month with Bridges Healthcare

Mental Health is an issue that can affect anyone, regardless of age or background. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and it’s a time to come together, take action, raise awareness, and show support for mental health. At Bridges Healthcare, we invite you to stand with us through events and activities that uplift, empower our community, and expand access to vital services.

Here are three actionable ways to make a difference:

Make a Gift During The Great Give

Bridges is participating in The Great Give, an online fundraising event sponsored by The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven on May 7-8, 2025.

Your support of Bridges during The Great Give will help individuals and families in our community find a path forward from anxiety, depression, alcohol or opioid addictions by accessing our mental health and substance abuse services. Help us reach our fundraising goal of $3,600 in 36 hours!

Stand Up for Community Nonprofits at the Capitol!

Join Bridges Healthcare, hundreds of nonprofits, and the CT Nonprofit Alliance at the CT State Capitol for The Rally for Nonprofit Funding on May 20, at 10 AM. Your presence matters. Let’s show lawmakers just how vital our nonprofits are to CT communities. This event is open to the public, whether you’re a client, family member, or simply seeking ways to support mental health and local nonprofits, come show your support!

If you’re interested in attending, please contact Melany Perez at mperez@bridgesmilford.org.

If you can’t make it to the Rally, you can still participate by contacting your legislators and urging them to increase funding for behavioral health agencies.
