Bereavement Support - The Caring Network
Bridges’ The Caring Network is a support program for adults who have suffered a loss through death. The group offers support from others who share an experience of loss. Many people living through grief may benefit from spending time with others who will listen, share, and offer encouragement.
The group is facilitated by a professional counselor who reviews the normal ranges of grief and mourning. In an atmosphere of safety and support, caring friends are able to express grief and to pass through this most difficult time of mourning.
The meetings are free, open to the public and no prior registration is required. If you are an adult (18+) grieving the loss of a loved one, please come to our virtual or in-person meetings.
In-person and online meeting options:
- The in-person sessions will take place at the Milford Library on the third Monday of each month, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, starting September 16th and continuing through December 2024. Please visit the Milford Public Library’s Caring Network event page for more details. Please note that the schedule is subject to change.
- The online group meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of the month at 6:00pm-8:00 pm, facilitated by Brooke Slater Torres, M.Ed.
